National Market Manager – Residential

Ludowici is looking to hire a star performer to promote, develop, sell and manage the sales and business development of Ludowici products, with support from corporate office personnel, on a national basis for the residential market segment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Generate/grow sales of Ludowici and Terreal terra cotta building products on a national basis to the new construction residential market through regular contact and promotions with the architectural community, interior designers, custom home builders (via regular CEU lunch presentations, sales calls and trade show/seminar exhibitions) and other avenues
  • Develop residential architectural specifications based/designed around Ludowici and Terreal terra cotta building products and other key complimentary products/accessories from partner vendors/suppliers
  • See all residential projects through entire budget, design, bid and construction phases
  • Locate and develop relationship/partnership with installation contractors/roofers capable of competitively installing Ludowici and Terreal products
  • Assist Trade Good Department and Sales Team to successfully sell Trade Goods (accessories) on all residential terra cotta orders
  • Create and manage a targeted residential marketing plan/program for architects, designers and builders in conjunction with Marketing Manager
  • Ability to accurately report residential sales pipeline and assist in development of regular sales forecasts/budgets in conjunction with CEO, VP of Business Development, and Director of Finance

Additional Responsibilities

  • Learn all product price structures for both Ludowici and Terreal in order to assist in quickly and accurately providing material budgets
  • Be a strong team player to all members of the Terreal, Terreal North America and Ludowici teams
  • As the need arises: successfully recruit, hire, develop, train and manage an aggressive, independent sales rep group and local market managers to increase residential sales in strategic/key areas.
  • Manage a team of sales professionals

Experience Requirements

  • Must have ability to develop plan to meet series of goals related to: increasing sales, presentations, sample requests, specifications, quotes and contractor partners
  • Ability to demonstrate strong relationships and connections (currently in place) with substantial network of high-end residential architectural firms, interior designers and custom home builders – this is a must, preferrably on a national level
  • Prefer 5-7 plus years of successful architectural product sales and promotion, on national level
  • Successful track record of increasing sales and business development – preferably in specification driven construction building materials
  • Building envelope design experience (roofing experience and/or wall construction preferred)
  • Must be self-motivated, self-sufficient and goal oriented
  • Must have ability to create and deliver effective product presentations to individuals and groups
  • Experience working for a high end brand with corporate level experience a plus

Position Location

  • Major metropolitan area with easy access to efficient airport (Columbus, OH, Cincinnati, OH, Atlanta, GA, or Dallas, TX would be a plus)
  • Position will be based out of candidate‚Äôs home office
  • Significant travel will be required
